Own a piece of Catskills Pilates history!!!
Catskills Pilates started when founder Myriam Lopez —an off the boat Spaniard, took a rafting trip down the Delaware River and overnighted in the Catskill mountains. After many more trips and inspired by the beauty of the area she eventually settled near the Neversink River.
Catskills Pilates' mission is to inspire curiosity about the world around us through movement. We combine the thrill of adventure with the healing power of movement. Our classes and events explore the magical world of the Pilates method, the philosophy and history behind it, but most importantly how it relates to your daily life. We partner with like-minded businesses, recreational and educational facilities to provide curious people with those experiences firsthand.

THE LADY BEHIND THE SMILE
Raised in Madrid, Myriam Lopez moved to New York in the mid-nineties to advance a career in graphic design and advertising. After over two decades in the entertainment and media industries – Showtime, VH1, Sundance, The New York Times, Hachette – and ten years of Pilates practice she shifted her focus to the wellness industry.
In 2017 she and her partner bought a semi-abandoned bank building in Port Jervis, NY with the intention to return it to the community.
Myriam is a a PMA- NCPT, a proud graduate of the prestigious Alycea Ungaro’s Real Pilates Teacher Training Program in Manhattan – making her a third-generation classically trained Pilates teacher – and a multi-award-winning creative director. She has taught alongside some of the most prestigious classical Pilates teachers in the world and is currently undergoing a certification in Rehabilitative Pilates by the London College of Osteopathy & Health Sciences.
Known for her fun demeanor and commitment to the growth of her clients, she wants you to take a break from the stressors of life, break a sweat and leave your session with a smile.
